Butterfly Decor ...
Cheerful Baby Room Themes

Cheerful and fun describes your nursery butterfly decor.

Have you been thinking of a butterfly bedroom decor?

Butterfly, butterfly, fluttering by. Ethereal, beautiful, delicate and colorful...don't they sound the perfect description for your baby's nursery? It's an ever popular theme with many parents and thereby with many manufacturers.

You might be worried that this baby nursery decorating idea is already overdone...and yours will turn into another copycat butterfly decor nursery. We have just the solution for you. Before you read any further, have you noted the baby nursery ideas we have outlined?

1. Pick the Right Paint Colors.

Since butterflies come in many colors, you can choose just about any color for your walls. The best way to finalize on the color scheme is to look for the bedding set you plan to use. Picking out the softest color in the palette is the recommended way to go. To add extra POP to the room, use a darker shade as accents.

Another option you have today is to buy the baby furniture in a fun color and keep the walls neutral. The butterfly wall decor will provide the necessary color for the nursery.

Don't you think this Grass Green zero VOC and low odor paint by Serena and Lily would be a great backdrop for the butterfly decor?

2. Choosing the Right Baby Furniture.

Kids Furniture is no longer limited to wood tones or white and black. If you are prepared to open up your wallet, you could easily find cribs and other nursery items in amazing designs and colors such as morning sun, lilac acres, fern canopy, bellflower blue and many more.

However, if budget is a constraint (as it is for most of us), CSN Baby has a great selection of cribs. Take your pick. They also hold sales regularly, to help you further save on big ticket items. (At the time of writing this article, the Parker 4-in-1 convertible crib from DaVinci is at a more than 50% sale). You can jazz up the ordinary looking nursery sets with a can of paint and stencil a butterfly decor on it.

3. Butterfly Chandelier and other Lighting Options.

Okay, so we researched the vast nursery decorating stores and found you a number of options. As soon as you search for butterfly decor, you will see this beautiful Butterfly Chandelier. Gorgeous, isn't it? Sure...until you see the price tag. Are you willing to shell out close to $1000 for a light fixture? You are? Go ahead, this would be a great fit in the butterfly room decor. Search hard enough and you could also find this Climbing Vine Butterfly Chandelier for less than half the cost. You have a number of cool options.

Think out of the box. A simple tulip table lamp will also add to the room themes without overcrowding with butterflies.

4. Butterfly Bedding Collections Galore.

There are many bedding collections available in butterfly decor theme and each one is so stunning that we just could not pick a winner. The end choice has to be based on your personal color and design preferences. Since these collections offer the entire decorating accessories for the nursery, do take some time to check each one out and find the one that appeals to you the most.

5. Room Accessories Complete the Look.

Now that we have the main issues of baby furniture, bedding and lights out of the way, we can turn to the creative section of the butterfly nursery...room accessories. This is the easiest and the most fun part of the entire decorating process.

You can cover the walls with Posters, Murals or Wall Decals

Tip: To make a bold statement, hang a pair of butterfly wings as a focal point in the room. Use less butterflies around the room so the theme does not look overdone.

6. Beyond the Nursery.

Carry the theme beyond the nursery walls. Find diaper bags, car seats and high chairs to match the theme...or simply add butterfly stickers on the existing ones.

Decorating the nursery is an empowering experience. It makes us happy. When you finally see your little angel playing, sleeping and enjoying herself in the butterfly decor nursery, give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. (errr…you might want to start on that Toddler Room now. It will be time for that before you know it!)
