Cam's Sunny Neutral Nursery Theme

by Lisa Airdrie
(Toronto, Canada)

My inspiration for Cam's Neutral Nursery Theme came from a lot of online sources, especially Ohdeedoh. I started with the wall colour, because it was here when we moved in (while I was already pregnant with a 1 year old) and we didn't want to have to paint. I also didn't find out if I was having a boy or a girl, so I needed something neutral. As well, I am hoping that both kids will eventually share a room so I wanted to fill the room with pieces that were versatile should we choose to use the space for a guest room or office.

Almost everything in the room is from Ikea. I found it convenient and affordable and I love Ikea style! The shelves, bookcase, crib, bedding, lighting and chair are all from there! Some of the art I made, and I got some things at the Japanese Paper Place in Toronto, which is one of my favourite stores. The paper cranes were a shower gift from a friend and I found the photo hanger at Urban Outfitters. The quilts were all made by my mother-in-law.

I really love the feel of Cam's room, and am so happy with the way it turned out!
