College Posters ...Spice Up the Walls
College posters and removable wall decals help spice up the walls.

Your dorm decor does not have much floor space. Focus the spotlight on your walls and ceiling instead. Movie posters, removable wall decals,
your State University Wall Decals , personalized name wooden letters, quotations, picture frames, wall stickers, murals...the list of possibilities goes on.
And if you go beyond the obvious, there are a number of projects you could make at home. They hardly require any skills either.
If computer graphics makes you comfortable, you could go to Photoshop and create art, then print and frame. Even simpler, look for samples of wallpaper or fabric in your pre-determined color scheme, then cut and frame! Decorating your walls is simple, quick and very cost effective.
1.Sports, Music, Fashion, College Humor and other College Posters
The easiest way since time immemorial is putting up posters. However, instead of simply sticking them up with tape or glue, give them a snazzier look by putting them in frames. Color the frames in one of the colors from your bedding. Now the wall looks neat and changing the posters is a snap too.

2. Removable Wall Decals, Stickers, Borders and Murals
Don't want the hassle of putting up hooks (stick on ones, of course) and buying frames for college posters? Then removable wall decals are your answer. Everything from flowers to sports figures; from Iron Man to Barbie; from colorful dots to black silhouettes can be found here.
You can even customize by turning your own photo into a wall decal!!
3. Quotations – Staying Inspired
Get inspired every time you enter your room. Add a quotation to your wall decor. The quote can be in the form of an art print, tin or wood signs, or wall decals. Mix and match as you please.

4. Name in Wooden Letters
Okay, so this is very popular at homes, where everyone already knows your name and your room. Makes sense to have it in the dorm room too. Hang wooden letters to spell out your name or your initials; or get removable wall decals customized to your name.
5. Chalkboard and Dry Erase Wall Decals
This is one item we have highlighted again and again in our book, Ideas 4 Dorms. College life is a rush of activities – classes, tests (ugh!!), parties (yayy!), dates (ahem!).
Black & White Chalkboard or Dry Erase Boards will ensure you can note down the details even as you run out the door.
They even come in such fancy designs; they are eye candy when not being used too.

6. Peel and Stick Mirrors
This one is mainly for the girls. Peel and stick mirrors work better than college posters in sprucing up a girl's room. Without damaging the walls, you get beautiful art on the walls, since they come in many shapes – butterflies, flowers, stars and more. And the functionality of multiple mirrors in your room!
7. Have you heard of Wall Pockets?
You must have heard of wall decals that look like picture frames, wherein you can stick your favorite photos on; but have you seen these ? Created in eye-catching designs, you can fold them to create pockets to hold light, flat objects such as movie tickets, CDs, Valentine cards...

8. Try Your Hand At It
If college posters bore you and removable wall decals seem too common, try your hand at creating something of your own.
