Whimsical bedroom themes – a special feature on Room Magic.

Room Magic has been decorating the children’s furniture and accessories industry for the past 10 years. In her own words, “Karen Andrea, a graphic designer from Santa Barbara, started designing furniture for a very practical reason: her 5-year-old daughter Sarah needed a bedroom set. "Sarah and I could not find any children's furniture that was like a child - fun, bright, bold and imaginative." explained Karen. "All the furniture we saw looked like miniature adult furniture, the colors were lifeless and the motifs were cliches". With daughter Sarah's ideas as an inspiration, Karen Andrea looked to create furniture that brought the magic into a child's room.”
1. Spectacular Designs. Room Magic offers stunningly beautiful bedroom themes to choose from. Decorate your little girl’s room with the Magic Garden theme. Let your boy’s imagination take flight with the Little Lizard’s collection. Want a neutral theme? How about a nursery furniture set of Tropical Seas theme? Your kid’s room will be the envy of all. 2. Furniture that grows with your kids. Sure the designs are important to create the whole look and feel of a kid’s bright and cheerful room. But you are guided by more than just the design. How about durability? Kids grow quickly. Can the furniture keep up? You wouldn’t want to be buying these heavy (and high investment) pieces every few years. Room Magic has kept that in mind.
- Reversible Drawers – Once your child outgrows the theme, just reverse the drawer fronts of the chest and nightstand; either keep it plain or choose a new set of knobs to match the new décor. All their knobs are inter-changeable. (Considering the changing bedroom themes your child will be putting the room through, this should be a great stress-reliever.)
- Increased Desk Space – The child’s desk has a removable hutch, which helps increase desk space or accommodates a computer.
- Removable Changing Table – The 5 drawer chest has a removable changing table tray on top. Take it off once your baby outgrows it.
3. Safety is a Top Issue. As with any childrens bedroom furniture, safety is a prime concern.
- Crib cut outs – All the cut outs in the baby crib and toddler bed have plexi glass covering. This allows the baby to look out and toddlers can play with. The plexi-glass in cut-outs for all bedroom themes makes them fun and safe.
- Drawers and Toy Boxes – All drawers have safety stops and metal glides. All toy boxes has safety hinges.
- Bedding Fabric – All their crib bedding and kids bedding fabrics are 100% cotton thereby softer, safer and easier to care for.
4. A Greener World. Room Magic creates all the bedroom themes furniture from sustainable hardwood and the finishes are lead free. The hardwood also ensures that the furniture will not dent or sag at a later date. The furniture is so durable that Karen Andrea claims her 16 year old daughter still uses the same furniture she’s had since she was 5.
