Painting the Floors - What's your take?

Hello,

I was browsing the net when I came across these pictures. Although they are talking about the room decor, my eyes were drawn to the floors. Don't you think painted floors are a great way to incorporate your theme.

As seen in the first photo, you can paint big ovals on the floor and maybe add shag rugs on top - wouldn't that be awesome?

I especially love the second photo where the main color of the room has been depicted on the floor in a fancy design.

And in the third photo, the floor design actually becomes the focal point. I think this is actually a rug, but it would look just as great if it were painted.

So what do you think of the idea? Would you paint the floor in your kids room?
